Alma Chapter 53
Summary: The Lamanite prisoners are used to fortify the Nephite cities. Even so, dissension among several Nephites in other cities leads to small victories for the Lamanites is other cities. Fighting continues in different places throughout the land. The sons of the people of Ammon, who had take a covenant to never take up arms, feel compelled to assist in the effort despite the fact that their parents had taken that covenant. Helaman requests that the parents keep their covenant but allow their sons to not be bound by it. These young sons become the "two thousand stripling sons" of the people of Ammon.
