Summary:   Moroni refuses to exchange prisoners. Instead he devises a plan to get the Lamanite guards, who are guarding the city of Gid where all the Nephites are, drunk. He does this is a way so that they get arms to the prisoners and at the same time encircle the guards with armies. WHen the guards awake from their drunkenness, they are surrounded by armies and by prisoners with weapons. They surrender their weapons and the cit it taken with any bloodshed and all the prisoners are freed.
