Helaman Chapter 1

Summary:   Pahoran, the chief judge, dies. Three of his sons content with each other to be the next chief judge. The elect Pahoran the second. One of the other brothers, Paanchi does not accpet this well and stirs up people to rebel. However the rebellion is quashed and Paanchi is sentenced to death. However, before the sentence is completed, Paanchi's followers send a large man, Kishkumen to murder Pahoran. Kishkumen is successful and is able to flee before getting caught. As a result, Pacumeni becomes the new Chief judge. A year later, the Lamanites, with their chief captain Corinatumr become very strong and are able to take over Zarahemla. Pacumeni is slain as a result. Corinatumr, however, seeing how successful he was to take Zarahemla, gets greedy and wants to continue on to gain more cities. He and the Lamanite army fall into a trap set by Moronihah and the Nephite army takes back Zarahemla and and Coriantumr is killed.
