Introduction

Summary:   The introduction gives a very nice background about what the Book of Mormon is, how it came into being, what the book contains, and how it was discovered and translated.  It tells specifically that the book is a new and additional witness that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God and that all who come onto him and obey his laws and commandments will be saved. 

Lessons Taught/To be Learned:

• The Book of Mormon is holy scripture like the Bible.
• It is not a replacement for the Bible, but instead, a complimentary text that is a another testament of the Lord Jesus Christ. 
• It is a record of God's dealing with ancient inhabitants of the Americas and contains the fullness of the gospel
