Mormon Chapter 8

** IMPORTANT NOTE ** Chapters 8 and 9 occur about sixteen years after chapter 7. Moroni, the son of Mormon, has take possession of only a portion of the records for purposes of making his writings. He writes about what has transpired since his father's last record.

Summary: Moroni tells that at the battle of Cumorah, his father was eventually killed. The Lamanites seek out any remaining Nephites and slay them. He completes his father's records now that all the Nephites are gone. Moroni tells the these writings will be preserved and will come forth in the future by the power of God. He warns of those who try to destroy this work - that they will be unsuccessful because God will make sure they are.
