Mosiah Chapter 24
** IMPORTANT NOTE **
The record of Alma, comprising of Mosiah Chapters 23-24, is the second major flashback in the Book of Mormon and is about Alma and his people who were driven into the wilderness by King Noah. This was hinted about in Mosiah Chapter 18 when Alma pleaded with King Noah not to slay Abinadi.
The record of Alma is one of the flashbacks in the Book of Mormon. To see and understand these flashbacks see Outlying the Flashbacks in the Book of Mormon
Summary: Amulon, because he know Alma, begins to persecute him, because he knew that Alma was a believer of Abinadi and wanted king Noah to spare him. Alama and his people begin to suffer under Amulon, and pray for help from the Lord. The Lord hears their cries and eventually provides a opportunity to flee from bondage to Amulon. Alma and his people escape from Amulon and his people and eventually return to Zarahemla.
