2 Nephi Chapter 16
** IMPORTANT NOTE **
Second Nephi Chapters 12-24 inclusive are writings from the prophet Isaiah. The contents of these chapters were copied from the brass plates that Nephi had taken from Laban in Jerusalem and brought back to his father Lehi. These particular writings were included by Nephi.
These Chapters can be very challenging to read and understand. So for purposes of this guide - we will only give a small summary and include any significant scriptures. Rather than skipping the chapters, we recommend you as least skim through to see what the prophecies are trying to convey. Don't get discouraged if you do not understand these chapters. You can always come back after you have read the remainder of the book and analyze them more closely later.

Summary: Isaiah teaches that he sees the Lord and that his sins were forgiven. He is told by the Lord that he is to be a prophet - but his told his mission will be difficult because the people will not listen.
Key Scriptures (italicized and in quotes):
"9 And he said: Go and tell this people—Hear ye indeed, but they understood not; and see ye indeed, but they perceived not.
10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes—lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and be converted and be healed.."
