2 Nephi Chapter 2
Summary: Lehi continues his talks. He describes how man is redeemed through the Holy Messiah. He talks about agency (the freedom of choice) and how it is important for us as inidividuals to progress. He then talks about Adam and Eve and how the fall of Adam was important so the "man could be".
Lessons Taught/To be Learned:
- We can only be redeemed through our faith and in following Jesus Christ
- Agency (the freedom to choose) is an essential part of goods plan for us. By allowing for agency, it give you the ability to choose to follow Jesus Christ and not force you.
- There must be opposition in all things. This is the only way for one to decipher right from wrong and allow them to make the choice they want.
- Adam fell so that man could be.

And because that they are redeemed from the fall they have become free forever, knowing good from evil; to act for themselves and not to be acted upon, save it be by the punishment of the law at the great and last day, according to the commandments which God hath given.."
