3 Nephi Chapter 12
Summary: Jesus commission twelve individuals to be his disciples and to minister onto the people. He begins a sermon comparable the the Sermon on the Mount. These teaching take precedence over the law of Moses.

In this part of the sermon Jesus introduces the character of a true disciple. a. True righteousness begins inside, not in outward behavior. b. Disciples influence the world by living visibly different lives. c. Jesus fulfills the Law by revealing its deeper intent. d. Love extends even to enemies — the highest expression of kingdom character. e. Anger, lust, and retaliation are heart‑level issues, not just actions.
