3 Nephi Chapter 20

Summary:   Jesus administers the sacrament a second time. He then begins to talk how Isiah wrote about the gathering of Israel. He then tells how the remnant of Israel will inherit the Americas. Jesus then talks about how he had covenant with the people that once the people of Israel believe that he would gather them.

In Chapter 20, Jesus shifts from teaching personal spirituality to explaining the big-picture story of God’s promises to Israel. It’s not about your personal salvation — it’s about how God keeps His promises across history. Jesus already taught the Nephites how to follow Him.
