3 Nephi Chapter 7

Summary:   The dissenters who want to be able to be prideful and wicked and have a want for riches murder the chief judge. Thew government is overthrown. All the people segregate into tribes. Some tribes combine into a league of tribes and elect man, Jacob, to be their king (leader). Meanwhile, Nehpi see the eventual destruction of the people because of this and preaches repentance and faith in Christ. Many repent and are baptized.
