Alma Chapter 8

Summary:   After Alma's words in Gideon, he goes back to Zarahemla to rest. The following year, he goes to Melek to teach the people. He is quite successful there and then goes onto Ammonihah. Unfortunately, at Ammonihah, the people are wicked and hardhearted. They rejected him and cast him out of the city. Dejected, Alma leaves and after some time in his travels, he is visited by an angel of the Lord who praises him and tells him to go back to the city of Ammonihah. He returns via a different path and runs into a fellow Nephite named Amulek, who takes him in and feeds him and lets him rest. They stay together for a couple of days and then Amulek agrees to go with Alma to preach to the people of Ammonihah.
