Mosiah Chapter 22

** IMPORTANT NOTE ** The record of Zeniff, comprising of Mosiah Chapters 9-22, is the first major flashback in the Book of Mormon and is about Zeniff and his people. This was hinted about in Mosiah Chapter 7 when Ammon finds King Limhi, the grandson of Zeniff. This record is an account of the people of Zeniff from the time they left the land of Zarahemla until the time they were discovered by Ammon and then in Chapter 22, when Ammon and King Limhi plot to get the people out of bondage from the Lamanites.

The record of Zeniff is one of the flashbacks in the Book of Mormon. To see and understand these flashbacks see Outlying the Flashbacks in the Book of Mormon

Summary:   Plans are made for the people of Limhi to escape from the Lamanites bondage. The Lamanite guards are made drunk and the people slip out and escape. Later, when the Lamanites realize what has happened, they pursue but cannot catch them. Limhi, his people and Ammon, all make it back to Zarahemla and join and become subject to King Mosiah.
