Alma Chapter 23


** IMPORTANT NOTE ** The records of the Sons of Mosiah, comprising of Alma Chapters 17-26, is the third major flashback in the Book of Mormon and is an account of the sons of Mosiah, who went converted onto the Lord and instead of taking their rightful ownership as heirs to the thrown of their father, went out in the land to teach the word of God to the Lamanites.

Summary:   The elder king (king Lamoni's father) declares the Ammon and his brother Aaron, Omner and Himni, should be free to preach and teach among all the people. Seven different Lamanite territories are converted. All these people which to change their name so that they are not associated with the old Lamanites and call themselves the Anti-Nephi-Lehies. Two groups - the Amalekites and Amulonites refuse to convert and do not join the group.
