Mosiah Chapter 20
** IMPORTANT NOTE **
The record of Zeniff, comprising of Mosiah Chapters 9-22, is the first major flashback in the Book of Mormon and is about Zeniff and his people. This was hinted about in Mosiah Chapter 7 when Ammon finds King Limhi, the grandson of Zeniff. This record is an account of the people of Zeniff from the time they left the land of Zarahemla until the time they were discovered by Ammon and then in Chapter 22, when Ammon and King Limhi plot to get the people out of bondage from the Lamanites.
The record of Zeniff is one of the flashbacks in the Book of Mormon. To see and understand these flashbacks see Outlying the Flashbacks in the Book of Mormon
Summary:
During King Limhi's reign, there was an incident where the Lamanite daughters are abducted by the priests of king Noah. Not knowing who caused it, the Lamanites wage war on Limhi and his people. Limhi's people persevere and capture the king of the Lamanites. The king tells Limhi why they waged war and Limhi investigates and discovers it was the priest of his father that caused this problem. The two kings form a truce.
